The Seiko Presage Collection gets a new creation with this limited edition inspired by the beauty of Tomioka Silk. The dials intricate pattern takes inspiration from the graceful drape and texture of finely woven Tomioka Silk. The luster and whiteness of this silk is produced by a rare silkworm in Gunma where the Tomioka Silk Mill resides. The dial reflects this with a pearl like coating that shimmers on the dial. The model is paired with a dark brown leather strap, a nod to the brick facade of the mill, and finishing off the design with pink-gold-colored case that compliments the dial and the strap giving the watch a distinguished look. The watch is not only unique, and beautiuflly crafted but Seiko Presage supports the efforts of passing down and preserving the silk industry by donating a portion of the proceeds to the Tomioka silk promotion organization.
